From Apprentice to After-Sales-Process Manager: Marvin Stötzel on his Career Path, Challenges and Successes
Success comes from commitment, perseverance and a great deal of support. An impressive example of this is our employee Marvin Stötzel, who began his professional career at WaldrichSiegen and is now an After-Sales Process Manager at the HerkulesGroup. In this interview, he shares insights into his career, the challenges he has successfully faced and his plans for the future.
From apprentice to after-sales process manager
Marvin Stötzel, 27 years old, began his professional career at WaldrichSiegen with an apprenticeship as an electronics technician. After that, he worked for the company for a year as a skilled worker before deciding to pursue further training. To combine theory and practice, he opted for a dual study program in industrial engineering with a specialization in electrical engineering. “Originally, I wanted to start this course of study immediately after graduating from high school, but I decided to do an apprenticeship first – a decision that perfectly paved my way!”
Challenges of the dual study program
A part-time course of study places high demands on time management and self-motivation. Marvin remembers only too well intensive learning phases and a few night shifts before the exams. Nevertheless, he praises the well-thought-out concept: “The course is almost perfectly organized and the practical phases ensure that there is enough free time.” One highlight of his studies was a semester abroad in Budapest, which not only provided him with valuable technical experience but also helped him grow personally.
New challenges in the after sales division
Marvin has been in his new role as after sales process manager for a little over a month. “After sales includes everything that happens after a machine is sold,” he explains. His job is to analyze and optimize existing processes. He benefits from the knowledge gained every day: “I have fundamental knowledge in many areas – not equally in-depth in everything, but a broad understanding – which is very helpful in my job.”
Support and corporate culture
The HerkulesGroup has actively supported and continuously encouraged Marvin on his journey. In addition to organizational support from the HR department, he was also able to rely on the support of professional mentors, particularly during the practical phases and while working on his bachelor's thesis. He particularly appreciates the corporate culture within the group: “The working atmosphere is absolutely cooperative, and I have always felt that my work is highly valued.”
Future plans and a look back at special achievements
Marvin is not currently planning a master's degree, but he can well imagine taking further training courses alongside his work in the future. He is particularly proud of projects that he initiated during his studies and which are now being successfully implemented - including a cross-group concept for optimizing the quotation process in the HerkulesGroup's After-Sales division, as well as conducting a market analysis for the After Sales division with a focus on the global service organization.
Marvin Stötzel's story shows how important commitment, targeted training and adequate support from the company are. “The HerkulesGroup offers many opportunities for further development and I can only recommend actively taking advantage of them.” His example makes it clear: Success does not just happen, it comes from motivation and hard work – and that is exactly what deserves recognition!
